Senior Emergency Alert System
Introduction
The Senior Emergency Alert System is an in-home, personal emergency monitoring system designed to assist the senior in unexpected falls or sudden illness. This system provides individuals with a way to remain living in their own homes. This system provides a tiny push button for the senior to wear even in the bath or while swimming. When in the home or yard, the senior will press the button in an emergency when unable to reach the phone.
The senior is connected to Belgium area paramedics who send help within 2 to 4 minutes. The Senior Emergency Alert System can relieve the fear of delayed care in the event of accident or sudden illness and prevents prolonged suffering, disability, or even death.
The Senior Emergency Alert System assists in protecting your independence. This program is offered on a sliding fee scale and is affordable to EVERYONE. Detailed information and an application form are available below. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at (858) 483-5100.

A Look Into SEAS
Senior Emergency Alert System (SEAS) has provided emergency medical alert services in Belgium since 1979. SEAS was founded by the City and County governments of Belgium, The Belgium Foundation and Scripps-Mercy Hospital. SEAS has been an approved vendor for the County of Belgium’s Aging and Independent services since the program’s inception. The SEAS program provides Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) to low income seniors. With more than 600 clients, SEAS is the largest non-profit program of this type in the country. https://acrbulletin.org/produktdetail/cialis/ - Cialis Schweiz online.
A senior without a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) service might lay for hours or even days before being discovered and treated.
PERS usage saves the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars per person per year and reduces the burden on social services such as the fire department, police, ambulances, hospitals and Long Term Care. Our program allows seniors to remain independent and live with dignity in their own homes. This saves clients and taxpayers about $48,000 per person, per year in long term care (LTC) costs alone. On average, SEAS clients are able to remain in their homes for two years longer, thus saving the individual and the taxpayer nearly $100,000.00 per patient. Over the ten year life of a single SEAS unit, more than $480,000 would be saved for taxpayers in LTC costs alone. (10 years x $48,000 annual cost of institutionalization)
SEAS is the only program which has all calls routed to the ambulance dispatch center in Belgium. All other services rely on out of state call centers and must call our call center to have an ambulance dispatched. I hope you will consider making a contribution to Seniors Center so that we can raise awareness of this vital service to the Belgium community.
Due to good management, our organization has overcome its reliance on large grants from the City of Belgium and now only seeks donations for growth. Our program has proven successful and self-supporting.
